Menu & What's On
The Boot Inn is, in every sense a real traditional family run hostelry. It has recently been sympathetically refurbished to combine a sense of its 350 year history and an atmosphere of contemporary dining.
There is a cosy, warm atmosphere with log fires, and the welcoming attitudes of the family and staff are second to none...
The layout offers a choice of formal dining for those special occasions, or a table in a more relaxed bar atmosphere. Alternatively, just grab a bar stool for a choice of fine ales, wines and spirits.
The regularly changing menu takes advantage of the year round availability of locally sourced produce. The skills of the Father/Son team in the kitchen offer an innovative and exciting choice to suit both taste and pocket. The Sunday Roast in particular has been receiving outstanding reviews from both visitors and locals alike.
We look forward to welcoming you
The Boot is located in the heart of the pretty village of Calstock on the banks of the River Tamar. Its quirky, quintessential atmosphere makes it unique, its individual atmosphere being the result of a long and colourful history. Although there is evidence of both Saxon and Roman habitation, it is the majestic viaduct that dominates the village
with no less than twelve 60 ‘ wide arches spanning across the river.
The Tamar Valley Line travels on its scenic journey southward to the Maritime city of Plymouth. Calstock, mentioned in the Doomsday Book
had numerous shops and hostelries serving the mining and agricultural communities. The Boot originally housed the village cobbler. Its customers being offered beer whilst they waited, hence the name it still has today. We can’t promise to mend your boots, but we can promise quality food , drink and excellent service.
